Zea/Corvus/Homo 1

Holes in the Wall Collective held a residency program which led to a group show, showcasing emergent outdoor installations on a retired corn field in New Jerusalem, PA. Artists lived and worked on the land for one week, reflecting on the theme of Corn. Zea/Corvus/Homo 1 explores the effects of the human-made monocrop cultivation process.

Bird feces is rich in Nitrogen. Bird feeders are designed to look like corn stalks, and to invite birds to the field to bring nitrogen back to the soil.
