Big Idea: Some living things are too small to see with just your eyes.

Exhibition Goals: This space aims to reframe microbes as living things that exist on and in and all around us. While some can cause us harm, many are beneficial and essential to our daily lives. Small Discoveries moves away from "eww, germs!" by inviting people to consider our interwoven relationships with microbes. The exhibition offers many tools for visitors to use (magnifying glasses, easy-view microscopes, and digital microscopes). Giving visitors the tools to discover this microscopic world increases their competence and confidence in their ability to use science tools.
